Gary Geddes reads from Falsework, Skaldance, Active Trading, and Kingdom of Ten Thousand Things and shares his thoughts on the ways in which writing changes our lives. Geddes, currently visiting writer-in-residence at UMSL, has written and edited more than forty books of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, drama, criticism, translation, and anthologies and won a dozen national and international literary awards, including the Gabriela Mistral Prize from the government of Chile and the Lt-Governor's Award for Literary Excellence in Canada. He is the editor of The Art of Short Fiction and 20th-Century Poetry and Poetics.
