Opera San Jose June 2, 2012

Opera San José, is a professional, regional opera company that is unique in the United States. Maintaining a resident company of principal artists, Opera San José specializes in showcasing the finest young professional singers in the nation. Principal artists from the Opera San José resident company will present a concert on Courthouse Square highlighting some of the greatest arias and ensembles in opera repertoire from Mozart to Puccini, and a preview of the company's 2012-13 season which includes Bizet's The Pearl Fishers, Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Verdi's Il trovatore, and Puccini's Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi.

Along with our Classical Concert, other exciting FREE events in Downtown Redwood City this summer include: Dancing on the Square on Tuesdays, Movies on the Square on Thursdays, Music on the Square on Fridays, and Downtown Jazz on Mondays.
