Las Cruces, NM – A new exhibition at the Branigan Cultural Center celebrates the intimate relationship between tea and friendship. “Tea and Friendship” will open with an artists’ reception on Friday, January 7 and will remain on view through Saturday, January 29.
“Tea and Friendship” is a juried invitational show comprised of 21 new works in a variety of media by fifteen members of the Teacup Garden Studio Group and Friends. Laurel Weathersbee, a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society, founded the Teacup Garden Studio in 1997; she offers classes in her Las Cruces studio in a variety of media including watercolor, collage, silk painting, and block printing. She is currently leading a composition class focusing on the elements of design.
The reception on January 7 is free and open to the public as part of the first Friday Downtown Ramble. Artists affiliated with Teacup Garden Studio will be on hand at the Branigan to discuss their work.
