Opening Reception: Spektrum Berlin July 20, 2012

Enjoy a glass of wine with us at Carte Blanche Gallery & Bookstore on Friday, July 20, as we celebrate the opening of our newest show: Spektrum Berlin. In his first solo exhibition in the United States, Berlin-based photographer Matthias Heiderich examines an industrial past with a present freshness and optimism for the future. Spektrum Berlin challenges visions and stereotypes of Germany—particularly East Berlin—through colorful, eye-popping urban architectural photography. Through Heiderich's lens, the world is transformed into an abstract canvas of lines, patterns, angular compositions, and vibrant colors.
