In celebration of Earth Day, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary Art Space is pleased to present three new exhibitions featuring the works of Daniel-Kayne, Billy Hassell and Carol Selter. An opening reception with the artists will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at The MAC galleries, located at 3120 McKinney Avenue, in the Uptown District of Dallas. Exhibitions will be on view through May 19, 2012.
Kayne will exhibit an installation titled Mine...Mine... in the New Works Space gallery at The MAC. His installation will be a continuation of his current series based around water. Mine...Mine... is a response to the notion of claiming ownership over natural resources. He explores the struggle to attain fresh water in under-developed countries with his installation and seeks to inspire consciousness in our society to benefit not only the environment but humanity as a whole. Mine...Mine... is one of Kayne's light and water sculptures, reflective of traditional sacred religious object.
