Good Citizen Gallery would like to invite you to experience “Soft”, a new Installation by Tennessee artist Hunt Clark. “Soft” will be on view from Feb. 27 to March 28, with an Opening Reception on Friday Feb. 27 from 6-10 pm.

Hunt Clark is a multi-media artist focusing primarily with sculpture and video installation. In “Soft”, Clark will mix video and sculptural elements to explore our understanding of image and how our perceptions can be manipulated. In past installations he has ingeniously engineered electrically charged tracts and robotics to maneuver video projections through space. The videos have been projected onto a variety of surfaces including carved wooden forms, water, plastic and paper. The resulting effect of his alternative projection methods is to meld the video medium and sculptural elements into surprising, and often poetic, new experiences.

Hunt Clark studied art at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville through 1994, the following year he moved to the edge of the Cumberland Plateau in Sparta, Tennessee, where he shares his home and studio with artist Deborah McClary. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the country, from San Francisco and Los Angeles to New York and Miami.
