Opening Reception "Engine of Bones Man the Handyman" June 3, 2011

Join 1708 Gallery from 6 to 10 pm on June 3rd for the First Friday opening of artist Greg Stewart’s, “Engine of Bones Man the Handyman”. Stewart’s work explores how humans locate themselves in this ever-changing world, focusing particularly on their perceived need to move. His portable structures are part migrating herd, part sustenance-providing orchard and suggest mutation and movement as a form of adaptability. The show will be on view from June 3rd-July 9th. Join us again the following First Friday, July 1st, for Stewart’s artist talk, hors d’ oeuvres and a cash bar.
