The Branigan Cultural Center of Las Cruces will host an opening on Friday, May 4, for exhibits by the Las Cruces Arts Association and the New Mexico Watercolor Society, Southern Chapter. A reception for the artists will be held from 5 7 p.m. The exhibits will run through Saturday, May 26. The exhibits and reception are accessible and free of charge.
The Las Cruces Arts Association, formerly known as the Las Cruces Arts and Crafts Association, has been exhibiting at the Branigan Cultural Center, and formerly the Branigan Library, since 1971. The 45th annual mixed-media art exhibit will feature works by more than 25 members.
The New Mexico Watercolor Society, Southern Chapter, Spring Show includes the work of 39 artists. This is a judged exhibit, and ribbons will be presented for Best of Show, first through third places, and two honorable mentions. A Viewers Choice award will be selected during the opening reception.
