Las Cruces, NM –“Finding Solace,” an exhibit of contemporary art quilts from New Mexico Art Quilters, will open at Branigan Cultural Center on Friday, April 2, 2010 during the First Friday Ramble from 5 to 7 p.m. The quilts will remain on display through Saturday May 1st.
Quilters across New Mexico were invited to submit art quilts that expressed their personal interpretation of solace. All entries are original works of art. Artists from Santa Fe to Las Cruces responded and twenty-one quilts were selected for the exhibit.
The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the downtown mall in Las Cruces. The exhibits and events are free and open to the public.
