The Ghost Town Arts Collective will present “Down Every Side Street: New Directions in Southwestern Art” at the Las Cruces Museum of Art from September 3 through November 20, 2010. An artists’ reception will be held during the Friday Ramble on September 3 from 5:00-7:00pm.
This non-profit artists’ cooperative is based in Sherman and Denison, Texas. The group works to raise awareness of regional artists from New Mexico and Texas and their works. The goal of the organization is to promote, sustain, and nurture the arts of our area while representing the wonderful diversity of the southwestern United States.
“Down Every Side Street” includes works in a variety of media including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media.
As of June 1, new gallery hours are 9:00am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Saturday. The Museum of Art is closed Sunday and Monday.
