Opening Day at Poplar Forest April 1, 2009

Be the first to see the completed exterior restoration of Thomas Jefferson’s retreat. For the first time in more than 160 years, visitors will see poplar Forest as Jefferson himself last saw it.

Join Governor Timothy M. Kaine at 1:45 p.m. for the unveiling of the newly reconstructed wing at Poplar Forest. Governor Kaine will be joined by the Jefferson Forest High School Symphonic Band and Thomas Jefferson, himself!
