Works of art by seniors from the Las Cruces area high schools will be on display at the Las Cruces Museum of Art for the annual All-City High School Seniors Exhibition. The exhibit begins Friday, April 18 and runs through Saturday, April 26 in the museums main gallery and will include artwork by students graduating from Alma de Arte, Las Cruces, Mayfield, and Oate High Schools. An opening reception and awards presentation for the artists will be held on Friday, April 18 from 5 7 p.m. Juried by Joyce Macrorie, Rosemary McLoughlin, and Jeanne Rundell.
The high school seniors creative work covers a wide range of artistic media, including ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, drawing and painting, photography and mixed media. The event will be catered by senior students in high school culinary arts programs, who will also receive awards for taste and presentation.
The All-City High School Seniors Exhibition is a staff favorite at the museum. The fresh eyes, energy, and enthusiasm of the students vision always inspire me, said Exhibition Curator Joy Miller.
