Open Streets on State Street October 1, 2011

The first-ever Open Streets on State Street invites Chicagoans to enjoy the ultimate "good" day as historic State Street opens for pedestrians to play, walk, bike and enjoy healthy recreation in the heart of the Loop. Chicago Loop Alliance in partnership with Active Transportation Alliance will transform a seven-block stretch of State Street, from Lake to Van Buren, into the ultimate urban playground for all ages, Saturday, October 1, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The following recreational programming will be offered to the public free of charge: Mobile Skate Park, Imagination Playground, Scavenger Hunt, Break-Dancing Demos, Yoga class, Dunking Booth.
