OneWebDay is celebrated all around the world each Sept. 22. It's an Earth Day for the internet. This is a free event.
In Washington Square, we'll be in the Teen Plaza, in the southeastern corner of the park. Come join us between 3 and 4pm. There will be speakers and surprises.
The idea behind OneWebDay is to create a global constituency that cares about the future of the internet. We're emphasizing the positive impact of the internet on human lives, and reflecting on the threats to the internet around the world (censorship, controllers of different kinds) and what we can do about them. There will also be events in Boston and Los Angeles, as well as in many many countries around the world.
