Alison McLennan is a major new talent in the realm of furniture design. Like her mentor, Garry Knox Bennett, who has been honored with a retrospective at the Oakland Museum of California, her work gracefully spans the controversial area between craft and art. She represents a new wave of artists thinking beyond traditional forms and materials.
