One Million Bones 50,000 Bone Installation August 26, 2011

One Million Bones, an arts-activism nonprofit, will be installing 50,000 handmade clay bones onto a street downtown in order to raise awareness of ongoing genocides throughout the world. More than two hundred volunteers dressed in white will lay these bones in a street that is usually bustling with life. This installation is a preview of our 2013 project, which will install one million bones on the Washington D.C. mall. Learn more at www.onemillionbones.org.
