One Life at a Time Benefit Concert September 2, 2007

Join The 808 Scene Zine and PeruDonations Corporation in a benefit concert at Don Ho's at the Aloha Tower Marketplace. PeruDonations is a Kaneohe-based charity, founded by Sherrill and Lisa Sturm. The mother and daughter team established the charity to provide medical and educational suports for two boys in the Andean region of Peru. Merardo has an incurable and painful skin disease and Presli was severely burned in a house fire when he was six days old.

Proceeds from the show will be used to continue to provide 16 year old Merardo with first aid supplies for his all-over body blisters and vitamins to counteract his malnutrition; and will support the Sturms' goal of providing 13 year old Presli with reconstructive surgery, medical support and education over the next few years.

The show will feature live performances by Missing Dave, Grand Theft Audio, YSAS and Max Murdoch & the Northern Soul Project.

Doors open at 9:30 PM and will begin with a demonstration by Capoeira Besouro Hawaii.

This show will also be the First Birthday party for the DOCK SESSIONS and the CD release party for Peru Donations' compilation CD, featuring many of Hawaii's own local rock, ska, alternative and soul artists.
