On the Prowl: Nocturnal Birds & Owl Prowl March 29, 2011

Owls are mysterious and amazing creatures. Join this class to learn more about owls and other birds of the night. Ben Jones, State Director of Education for Audubon Texas, will introduce you to the owls that call our area home. We'll cover owl anatomy, hunting techniques, and their amazing abilities. Then, we'll set out on an owl prowl through the Arboretum calling owls and listening for replies. Participants will receive a special invitation to "Celebrate Birds Fest" at Trinity River Audubon Center the following Saturday, April 2 to dissect owl pellets and meet living owls up close.
