A special evening with a new work by Michael Daugherty commissioned by the School of Music and Dance and performed by the SDSU Wind Symphony conducted by Shannon Kitelinger. Daugherty's music has entered the orchestral, band and chamber music repertory and has made him ..."one of the ten most performed living composers." Also on the program are works by Eric Whitacre and Frank Ticheli.
