Looking for a great way to meet a ton of fun people and check out some of the best concerts coming to the area this summer? Want to join up with a group to see a Nationals game or spend a day tubing at Harper's Ferry? On Tap Magazine (http://www.ontaponline.com) puts on a series of summer bus trips to shows at Wolf Trap, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and Nissan Pavilion. All trips include a pre-boarding happy hour, luxury bus to and from the show with "refreshments" on board, and lawn seats for the concert -- all for within a few bucks of what you'd pay for just the ticket and service charge if you bought them yourself.
The concert lineup this summer includes The Killers with Keane; The Pixies with Bloc Party; Joss Stone; The Black Eyed Peas with Talib Kweli; Wilcon with The Roots; Gavin DeGraw with Howie Day; Blues Traveler, O.A.R., Jack Johnson and tons more.
Who goes? Typically about 50-100 people in the 25-40 range.
Where do we meet? The pre-board happy hours take place in NOVA and DC at a metro-accessible bar (varies by trip).
What can I bring? Anything you want. We stock up the buses but you're welcome to bring your food/drink of choice as well as coolers, blankets, whatever.
