Engage your senses at Oceanside Museum of Art’s Culinary Cinema Series, a program that pairs food themed films with mouth-watering cuisine in the beautiful setting of the museum. On Saturday, February 27th at 5:30 pm the museum will screen the classic film “Gloomy Sunday” and serve a delicious dinner inspired by the film’s tantalizing “beef roll.” The Culinary Cinema event will begin with tray passed hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine leading into the viewing of the award winning film “Gloomy Sunday”. Immediately after the screening, guests will enjoy a formal sit down dinner. The talented Chef Steve Akin of San Diego’s iconic DZ Akins will prepare a gourmet meal including roulade of beef stuffed with imported cheeses, served alongside a medley of vegetables, potatoes and fresh homemade breads. The evening will end with a dessert and coffee bar. Reservations are required in advance and limited to 80 guests. Cost is $60 for OMA members, and $75 for non-members. Call the museum at 760-435-3721 for reservations.
