Part Delta blueshound and part troubadour, Oliver Buck mines the great American blues and roots traditions. By mixing the deep grooves, emotional intensity, and improvisation of Mississippi fingerstyle blues with haunting melodies and lovelorn tales inspired by white Southern music, he has created a sound uniquely his own. Olivers influences span most of the last century and include Skip James, Jimmie Rodgers, Charley Patton, Hank Williams, Sonny Boy Williamson, Johnny Cash, Robert Lockwood Jr., and Chris Whitley.
