Older & Reckless, an informal performance series, features work from OLDER artists who continue to grow more RECKLESS as time goes by, but this time there is a twist. Older & Reckless III provides an opportunity for seasoned dance artists and emerging dance artists to work together. Older & Reckless III is a chance for the audience to see some of Canada’s most exciting young dancers in remounts of celebrated contemporary masterworks.
For the first Older & Reckless III Claudia Moore will feature remounts of master works by Canadian icon Danny Grossman and Carol Anderson, one of the founders of Dancemakers. Danny has remounted Tryptich on the graduating students from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and Carol Anderson is remounting her breath-taking solo, Polyhymnia, on Amelia Ehrhardt from York University. Astrid Harrison, a student from Rosedale Heights, sings and plays guitar for a solo piece by Claudia Moore. Finally there is a duet performance by mother and daughter, Louise Hoyt Mussett and her daughter Elliot, from Halifax.
