Old Time German Day Picnic at the German-American Club of Albany
On Sunday July 13, 2008, relive the old-time days when German brass bands played loud Ompah music, beer flowed, and everyone had a great time at the beautiful Schuetzenpark at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany, NY 12205. Schuetzenpark is a large pine tree shaded grove, which is the last remaining outdoor Biergarten remaining in the Capital District. This month we feature live music in our bandstand by Big Wally. Schuetzenpark opens at 1:00 PM. Entry into the grove is $3 per adult, children under 12 are free! Please note: Food and Drink cannot be brought into the park. Tasty German foods and drink are available for purchase as well as domestic food and drink. There will be activities for children, along with a children’s parade. In the event of rain, we will move the entire event indoors in our large banquet hall and barroom. So grab and lift your Stein and sing a chorus of “Ein Prosit”, which boasts of good times and fellowship to all at the German-American Club of Albany. For further information please call (518) 265-6102 or see our web page at http://www.GermanAmericanClubofAlbany.com
Hope to see you there! Auf Wiedersehen.
