Old School Freight Train February 2, 2007

Recently signed to David Grisman’s Acoustic Disc, Old School Freight Train (OSFT) is a five piece acoustic band that has been creating new sounds in the acoustic music scene since September of 2000. This Charlottesville-based group first hit the local music scene, then gained a loyal regional following throughout Virginia, and is rapidly gaining national recognition. OSFT has earned awards at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and the Rocky Mountain Bluegrass Festival. Nominated for a Grammy Award for best bluegrass album and finalists in the Independent Music Awards in 2003, OSFT is the band to watch as they continue to gain exposure and win new audiences with their original sound and dynamic performances.
