The Yentas, one of the teams in the Women Over 60 Basketball League, has a tyrant for a coach. When the Yentas meet Sister Mary Margaret, who has been kicked out of the convent for breaking her vow of silence when she was “accidentally” tripped by one of the Yentas while playing for the opposing team, they fire Coach Craig and replace him with her. There is only one problem – she is a bigger tyrant than he ever was.
The comedy, “Old Broads Can’s Dunk” is presented by Fire Rose Productions, producers of the hit shows “The Rabbi & the Shiksa”, “Sex is Good for You!” and “Boxcar and Eugenia”.
Here is what some prominent writing experts have said about playwright Art Shulman:
“Art Shulman is a first class playwright whose work engages and entertains even as it posits profound truths into the nature of women and men. His characters are palpable and fleshy, he has a marvelous ear for dialogue that is cool, crisp, brittle, seductive, and unforgettable.”
- Richard Walter, Chair UCLA Graduate Screenwriting Program
“Art Shulman is the Neil Simon of the San Fernando Valley.”
- Ken Rotcop, master writing teacher and best-selling author on screenwriting
