Since forming in the early 1990s, the Old Blind Dogs have stood on the cutting edge of Scotland's roots revival. The band has developed its own trademark style in which dynamic percussion and bluesy harmonica fuel the delicately-phrased melodies of traditional songs. The energetic mix of songs and tunes with polished vocals, soaring fiddle playing and stirring pipes are punctuated with the pulse from djembe and conga .They play Scottish folk music and Celtic music, with influences from rock, reggae and Middle Eastern music rhythms.
