The Oklahoma Chapter of the Lupus Foundation will be holding an informative luncheon seminar on Saturday, January 10th at Deep Fork Grill. The foundation’s mission is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of lupus, support individuals and families affected by the disease, increase awareness of lupus among health professionals and the public and find the cause and cure.

Seminar speakers will include Remzi Bag, M.D., Chief of Lung Transplantation Medicine and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, at the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute, Integris Baptist Medical Center. He will be discussing “What’s causing my shortness of breath?” "There are plenty of reasons people with lupus may have shortness of breath. Diligent evaluation often times leads to correct diagnosis and successful treatment." stated Dr. Bag.

Also speaking will be Dr. Ewa Olech, Assistant Member, Clinical Pharmacology Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Olech is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Olech's topic is “Current lupus medication and treatment.”

There will a question and answer session with the speakers during the seminar and participants will be able to visit with them after the event.
