Ohlone Wind Orchestra announces its Winter Concert
California's Premier Wind Orchestra presents exciting band music, featuring soloists from the band playing Oakland-based composer Floyd Werle's "Concertino for Three Brass and Band." Ken Walter, Trumpet, John Monroe, Trombone, and John Taylor, Tuba, are the soloists.
Plus Paul Hindemith's "March from Symphonic Metamorphoses," James Barnes' "Fantasy Variations on a Theme by Nicolo Paganini," Philip Sparke's "Dance Movements," Brant Karrick's spectacular "Mambo Furioso," and Russell Bennet's arrangement of selections from Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess".
$15 Adults, $10 Students and Seniors, $8 under 12.
