Ohlone Wind Orchestra announces its Spring Concert
California's Premier Wind Orchestra presents a concert of wind ensemble classics and American favorites, featuring clarinet soloist Dr. Linda Shea.
Classics include three movements from Shostakovich's "Symphony Number 9," and Kabalevsky's "Colas Breugnon Overture," plus
Philip Sparke's "Clarinet Concerto," performed by guest soloist Dr. Linda Shea of the University of Colorado and Colorado State University.
American favorites include Morton Gould's "American Salute," Charles Ives' "Variations on America," Norman Dello Joio's "Satiric Dances," Robert Russell Bennet's "Suite of Old American Dances," and Fred Jewell's "The Screamer March."
