Officer Kicks stand out with a show that could wake the dead, playing their debut album The Six Grand Plot - a genuine brit-rock classic. Every show they play is a bawdy PARTY.
Latest single Pictures Of Me has earned 6Music, Xfm etc airplay. Video Directed by Stuart Lanceley and produced by Token Filmsa follow up is on the horizon, with a UK tour being set up from September onwards.
While unsigned, their reputation as a great, great band in the making, won them festival slots at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Bestival. They've just signed a deal with creative label, We Make Things (international interest is also growing). Virtual unknowns that caused wild scenes at the first two festivals, these authentic, essential, crowd winning ENTERTAINERS, warm up for their Bestival debut (at the personal request of Rob Da Bank) on the BBC Introducing Stage.
Reviewers have started to check out da Kicks...
"They play uncomplicated, fists in the air, sing at the top of your voices music that will see them become a sure fire chart hit." (Smash Music)
"The rock'n'roll equivalent of a dirty shag, they came, they floored, they conquered." (God Is In The TV)
"Their music is incredibly infectious and uplifting, you can’t help but feel the urge to rock out..." "...a classic rock n roll show" (GigWise)
This is an invitation not to miss OFFICER KICKS play up close and personal.
The Six Grand Plot (download/CD on Redemption/We Make Things) is available from iTunes, HMV and all good uns. Links, Autumn Tour Dates etc via Officer Kicks at their myspace.
Feedback has started. The album is described as a "...silo of no-nonsense killer tunes in a twelve-track bombardment" by the September iissue of Clash Magazine and Officer Kicks as "Britain's very own Kings of Leon, except they pack more of a punch." by The Mag.
"One of the best live bands I have ever seen" (Dave Berry). Captured for posterity; camera clip of the last 30 seconds of Officers Wickham, Skorjanec, Fisher & Scallion storming Secret Garden Party 25 July;
