More Than a Gut Feeling:
Interviewing Skills for Hiring the Right People
December’s Third Thursday leadership training program focuses on interviewing skills and assessment of job candidates. In any organization, hiring the right people for the right job is a challenge. Successfully meeting that challenge helps organizations keep turnover down and productivity high.
More Than a Gut Feeling is designed to educate interviewers on how to make the right hiring decisions by using behavior-based interviewing skills. This interviewing strategy is behavioral because of its emphasis on gaining specific examples of what a person has done in order to help predict what that person will do in the future.
Class objectives:
* Learn how to develop a structured interview
* Apply interview techniques, while focusing on all critical selection criteria areas
* Use behavior-based interviewing strategies
* Learn how to assess candidates and make selection decisions based on a "person-to-organization" and "person-to-job" fit.
Who should attend?
Managers, Supervisors, and Leads who are involved in recruitment and selection.
