KT Nelson’s new piece is a full company piece set to music by one of the most highly acclaimed young composers in the music world today, Argentinean composer Oswaldo Golijov. Golijov’s music is uniquely rooted in Klezmer and inspired by Jewish mysticism. A Walk in the Woods is the first in a 2-part series of new dances by Nelson about the intricacies and complexities of nature—of mating, transformation, birth, life, death and rebirth.
