Blending rock with Andean rhythms and instruments such as the pan-pipes, flutes and charangos, Octavia's music reflects the modern Bolivian experience with native beats and accents. Originating in La Paz in 1988, the band's sound is characterized by a unique mix of catchy pop, rock, electronic synthesizers and acoustic music. With eight mostly gold and platinum albums under their belt, Octavia is considered one of the most important and influential bands in Bolivian rock.
