The OCAD Student Press throws an eclectic book sale in support of their latest award winning design publication, Shift Perspectives.
The OCAD Student Press, a student collective dedicated to getting good ideas out of the Ontario College of Art & Design, is throwing a used book sale at the Gladstone Hotel in support of their latest student publication, Shift Perspectives. Formerly the precious property of Stephen Fowler, owner of The Monkey's Paw used bookstore on Dundas Street West, http://monkeyspaw.com, the collection of books is perhaps one of the most eclectic offerings you'll find in the city.
The sale will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2008 from 12 to 5pm on the 2nd floor of the Gladstone Hotel. Both OCAD Student Press publications, Shift Positions and Shift Perspectives, will also be on sale throughout the day.
All used hardcovers: $2 each
All used softcovers: $1 each
OCAD Shift books: $20 each (includes a free used book of your choice)
Both OCAD Student Press publications are collections of student essays based on design thesis work done in their final year at OCAD. These publications showcase the eclectic and diverse nature of student research currently being explored at the Ontario College of Art & Design. They are the only OCAD design research collections of the their kind, providing an in depth look into some of the work being done by young up-in-coming Toronto designers.
