Founded in 2005 by Kent Sangster, a Juno-nominated jazz saxophonist and composer, and his wife Joanna Ciapka- Sangster, a classically trained violinist, The Obsessions Octet is a fascinating experiment by several of Canada's music luminaries. Their repertoire has been described as "an elegant mixture of classical, tango, and jazz."
