BIOGRAPHIES
Yerin Kim, a native of Seoul, Korea, began playing piano at the age of 5. She moved to California with her family when she was 10 years old and continued her study with Hans Boepple, a pianist and chairman of Santa Clara University. After living in the states for 3 years, she went back to Korea and entered Seoul Arts Yewon School,and Seoul Arts High School where she received a certificate in Piano Performance. She felt the need to go back to the states after graduating two major music schools in Korea, so she entered Oberlin Conservatory of Music where she received Dean's Talent Award. Yerin has won many competitions including the MTAC Concerto Competition, Korea-Germany Brahms Association Competition, and Korea Harmonia Competition. She enjoys studying chamber music as well as her solo studies and has participated in many Chamber music festivals. Yerin is a double-degree student of Oberlin College, currently receiving bachelor's degree on Psychology from Oberlin College and a bachelor's degree on Piano Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory.
Dylan Messina, a native of San Antonio, TX, began studying the cello privately at age 11 with Ken Ishii. At age 14 he began studying with Amy Levine Tsang. He has also studied with Anthony Ross, Lynn Harrell, and has been involved in masterclasses with Norman Fischer and members of the Cactus Pear Chamber Music Festival. Dylan has performed in summer programs at the Tanglewood and Cactus Pear festivals. He is currently a sophomore cello student at Oberlin Conservatory, studying with Darrett Adkins and Dmitry Kouzov.
Brendan Shea, from McLean, VA, began studying the violin at the age of 3 with June Fagen in Brussels, Belgium. He continued his studies with Zhao Wei at the Beijing Central Conservatory, Olga Khroulevich in Washington D.C., and Vladimir Klutchko in Taipei. He has spent the past 6 years studying in various master classes with Zakar Bron,and currently studies at Oberlin Conservatory with Milan Vitek. Brendan has won various competitions in the D.C area as well as the Glazunov Competition in Paris.
