This event serves a multitude of purposes. First and foremost is to build a strong community and a feeling of pride of home ownership in this historic neighborhood through this fun event.
We want to rebuild personal pride in living in a center city environment that is rich with culture and wonderful historic buildings, and to encourage new business and existing business to remain and support the historic district. Residents that have made this area their home are proud to open their unique homes to show the diversity of decorating style and architectural elements you only find in period homes.

Old Allentown Preservation Association (OAPA) has been active since 1976 and is dedicated to preserving the historic architecture of the Old Allentown Historic District and building a sense of community in our neighborhood. OAPA provides facade grants for residents and actively rehabilitate buildings in the neighborhood.
