The Northern California Cancer Center is pleased to be one of the presenting organizations for the Oakland A’s “Strike Out Breast Cancer” event this Saturday, September 15.
This annual event celebrates the courageous women who have battled breast cancer. The day centers around a pre-game luncheon and on-field ceremony before the game for breast cancer survivors. The survivors will form a human pink ribbon on the field and release balloons in memory of those whose lives were taken by this disease.
Saturday, Sept. 15
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
Rehearsal/Brunch begins at 9 a.m.
Pre-game ceremony, 12 p.m.
Oakland Athletics vs. Texas Rangers, 12:55 p.m.
McAfee Coliseum, Oakland
Free for breast cancer survivors and one guest each.
