Denver's own Oakhurst plays "citybilly" bluegrass, which is their take on traditional Appalachian bluegrass mixed with an indie-rock drive and attitude. The band plays over 200 shows a year, making new fans in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. Currently they are on tour to support their latest work, 'Barrel,' which is the band's fifth album and was two years in the making.
