Historian Michael Scoggins will discuss the gospel and country music sessions recorded at the Andrew Jackson Hotel in Rock Hill in 1938-1939, and how these reflect the musical themes in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? The hotel became a recording studio for RCA's "Bluebird" label in September 1938 and February 1939 and produced some of country music's standards.
