42 Below & Giant Step present NZ@CMJ 2010
New Zealand Buzz Acts to Showcase on CMJ Music Marathon’s Opening Night with Performances by Zowie, Kids Of 88, Ruby Frost, Electric Wire Hustle, Lawrence Arabia & Street Chant.
An exciting and eclectic array of musical acts from New Zealand will grace the stage at this year’s CMJ Music Marathon festival in New York City to offer a taste of indie-rock, synth-pop and future soul. The NZ@CMJ Showcase is one of CMJ’s opening night events and is a collaboration between New Zealand music promotion agencies NZ On Air and the NZ Music Commission.
The NZ@CMJ 2010 event takes place at (le) Poisson Rouge on Tuesday, October 19th and features performances from New Zealand artists Zowie, Street Chant, Kids Of 88, Electric Wire Hustle and Lawrence Arabia. Also on the bill is songstress Ruby Frost, the winner of MTV New Zealand and 42 Below’s 42Unheard competition. With a unanimous win over hundreds of other acts, Frost walked away with a recording contract from Universal Music, funding from NZ On Air for a music video and a trip to play at this year’s CMJ Music Marathon.
