NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault -- Celebration of Excellence Award Ceremony September 10, 2009

On Thursday, September 10th from 9am-11am, The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault hosts our 1st Annual Celebration of Excellence at the New York Academy of Medicine. This is an award ceremony breakfast to honor and commemorate professionals who have shown exceptional leadership and dedication in the pursuit of providing the best care to victims of sexual violence.

The morning will feature prominent speakers in the medical and criminal justice fields as well as live entertainment and great food.

The Alliance will be presenting recognition awards to a selection of outstanding young healthcare community leaders who have completed our Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Health Care Leadership Development Fellowship.

Additionally, we will be awarding the Lydia Martinez Collaboration Award to five exemplary professionals from the sectors involved in the acute-care response to sexual assault: Rape Crisis Professionals; Assistant Prosecutors; Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners; NYPD Special Victims Detectives; and Volunteer Rape Crisis Advocates.
