A special screening of award-winning Argentine films from the late 1990s and early 2000s, the era that marked the beginning of the current flowering of Argentine cinema. Offered in conjunction with Recovering Beauty: 1990s in Buenos Aires, these films cover a range of styles form the comedic to the gritty with three taking place in Buenos Aires. Organized by Gonzalo Aguilar, professor of literature in the Department of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Buenos Aires and author of Other Worlds: New Argentine Film.
