Our goal is to bring together about 50 people from academia, industry, and government to map out an interdisciplinary research agenda to address emerging challenges and problems in data access, confidentiality, and privacy. Advances in cyber-infrastructure and the expanded demand for access to data in all domains have created new and challenging problems that demand attention from the research community. We anticipate major new initiatives in this area and our hope is to provide input to them. But we would also like to stimulate the workshop participants by exposing them to novel research challenges and perspectives and create opportunities for novel collaborations.
