notMYkid.org, in partnership with Rural/Metro and First Check, are distributing information on teen drug prevention and free home drug testing kits to parents in ten U.S. markets, including metro-Phoenix, in advance of April 20 (420/National Get High Day.)
Through years of experience, notMYkid has found utilizing a drug test in the home helps kids avoid peer pressure situations by empowering them to say “I can’t, my parents might drug test me.”
Thousands of kids experiment with a variety of addictive substances every day and notMYkid wants to inform parents on the risks and warning signs. (The average age for experimentation is 13 and it typically takes two years for parents to realize their kids are using drugs.)
