21 7th Avenue South
New York, New York 10014

Summer music/arts festival benefiting Kids for Kids, which helps destitute families in remote rural villages in the Darfur region of Sudan. The event will feature 6 live bands: Action Painters, Matt Whyte & Kamara Thomas (from Earl Greyhound), Wordspit, Samuel Izdat (singer from Takka Takka), Jodie Manross and Katie Mullins. DJ Ski-Hi, who was featured on MTV and has DJ'ed Jay-Z after parties, will be spinning between sets. AND we will have some of the city’s best street artists and graffiti artists, affiliated with Artists 4 Israel, doing some sick live art exhibitions (e.g., body art on semi-nude models). A high-profile human rights expert will briefly explain the situation in Darfur, and we'll have a raffle with great prizes.
The cost is $20 in advance; $35 at the door. Complimentary specialty beer 7-8PM. Bar tenders will serve up cocktails from Milk & Honey's full drink menu all night. Please RSVP AND purchase tickets on this site (to the right, where it says "Contribute"). This will be in an intimate space and WILL sell out!
