The G2 Gallery, in Conjunction with Catalina Island Conservancy, Welcomes Laszlo Szijj as he Speaks About the Complexities of Bird Migration
Venice, CA –We used to think we knew more about the way birds migrate than we do now. The reason is simple; with new research methods and more data, the picture got fuzzier, and new questions were generated. New questions that are much harder to answer. The evolution of migratory species, their bio-geographical history, the drift of continents and large scale climate change all play a part in the process and add to the complexity of bird migrations. New understanding of the sensory perception of birds adds yet another layer. More than one possible pathway may be involved, which evolved independent of one another.
On June 25 the G2 Gallery will present Laszlo Szijj for a presentation, Bird Migrations: What We Know and What We Do Not.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a reception, followed by a 7:00 p.m. lecture.
