Not Just Rhetoric: Interfaith Dialogue as Essential to Global Survival April 20, 2009

The effort to bring a religious voice to international concerns will be explored. David Christiansen will speak about the history of the Parliament of the World Religions, which had its origin in Chicago in 1893. Father Bob Flannery will talk about his experience in the 2004 Parliament in Barcelona. Key documents from the first World Parliament of Religions, part of Morris Library's special collections, will also be highlighted. Discussion will follow these presentations.
