Silvermine Guild Arts Center in cooperation with Silvermine Community Association presents this lively and humorous lecture written as part of the Mark Twain Centennial Project. Learn how Samuel Clemens personally touched the lives of a number of Norwalkers - some prominent, and others notorious - during his lifetime; and inspired the art of others, after his death. Five distinguished Norwalk residents, four of whom lived in Silvermine, became part of Mark Twain's legacy by creating sculpture, WPA murals, and book illustrations based on Twain's immortal stories. The snow date for this event is March 20, 2011.
